Cat. # S1720

This light serum helps fade dark spots, sun spots and melasma with the power of Tranexamic acid, Azelaic acid and a few natural ingredients.

Azelaic acid helps reduce inflammation and even skin tone by inhibiting tyrosinase, an enzyme involved in hyperpigmentation. It also combats acne and rosacea. Tranexamic acid, on the other hand, is more specialized in treating melasma and other forms of hyperpigmentation by inhibiting plasmin, an enzyme that contributes to melanin production. It also helps with redness and may minimize the appearance of rosacea. Extract from the bark of Pterocarpus marsupium, Licorice extract and Guava and Papaya Fruit extracts also contribute to the lightening effect of this serum. It is important to use sunblock with at least SPF 30 while using this serum.

How to use:

For the Even Tone Glow Serum, the application order matters for both efficacy and skin compatibility. Here's the guidance:

Recommended layering order:

  1. Cleanser → toner
  2. Even Tone Glow Serum — apply first among actives
  3. Other serums (e.g., hydrating, peptide-based)
  4. Moisturizer
  5. SPF (morning routine — non-negotiable with brightening actives!)

Why the Even Tone Glow Serum goes first:

  • Tranexamic acid and Azelaic acid need direct skin contact to work at the melanin-production level in the deeper layers. Applying them first on clean skin ensures optimal penetration before occlusives or heavier emollients create a barrier.
  • Pterostilbene is a lipophilic antioxidant — it absorbs well on clean skin and doesn't compete with water-based layers underneath.
  • DermWhite (a tyrosinase inhibitor complex) similarly benefits from unobstructed skin contact.

Important note: if you are  also using a vitamin C serum, you should alternate — vitamin C in the morning, Even Tone Glow at night — since stacking too many brightening actives at once can cause sensitivity, and some forms of vitamin C can be destabilized in the same layer.
